Mercy Tree by Nathan Carter

I am so proud of Nathan. He finally got his CD that he worked so hard on for months and months. I have a copy in my car and downloaded on my phone with Zune :)

This is something he has always wanted to do - he got to bring all of his favorite people he has ever played with together on one CD.

You can purchase the CD or the download on CD Baby
You can also download on Zune
(search for Nathan Carter or Mercy Tree)

Christmas in Dallas

Christmas in Dallas was great this year thanks to NO SNOW. We had  the Pete's Christmas Party held at Mi Cocina in The Shoppes at Legacy. They treat their employees very well. Nathan and I are blessed that they gave him a job.

On Christmas Day we went to Will Townsley's house (plays with Nathan) for the second year in a row. His family is very nice to let us crash their get together. His wife is a great cook and we all ate way too much food!

Nathan and I had three days to hang out and catch up on our movie time together. It was a nice break from work and our opposite schedules.

Chino hopes wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.........

Nathan and I have had a BUSY 8 months (to say the least). We got married in September, moved to Plano, TX in December, Sent Kaley off to college in January, bought a house in Dallas and moved again in August! Oh and Nathan started his new job @ Pete's in Addison, TX and I moved around 3 times before getting it right @ Time Warner Cable as the LMS Coordinator for the Texas Region.

I have posted a few picutes of the new house.....we are almost settled in and LOVING it. There are a ton of stairs so we were VERY sore and tired after the move. Chino is getting adjusted to NOT being allowed on the couch.....Nathan had him trained within a matter of hours - pretty amazing. We think all the stairs in the house is wearing poor Chino out. Oh and he loves to lay in the sun that comes through the windows and hits the floors.

Soon to be Mrs. Carter.....

In less than 60 days I will be Mrs. Carter....it is still hard to believe! So much is happening in our lives right now. Nathan has moved to Houston to work for Pete's Dueling Piano Bar, Kaley will be 18 in November and graduate from high school in January (WOW - didn't I just drop her off @ 1st grade?). The house is crazy quite without Nathan and Chino - but the good thing is LESS LAUNDRY. I think change is good and I will try to embrace it all the way.

Kaley's Trip To Sugar Mountain

Kaley survived her first snowboarding adventure. Her and some friends jumped in the car last week and took off to Sugar Mountain. She came back in one piece so I guess she did pretty well for a first-timmer on the board. If it looks cold it's because the high was 17 (burrr).
Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas.
Happy 2009!!!!

Kaley's Doctor Visit

The doctor said it is just a really bad, very deep bruise. She needs to take a week or two off (which works out well with the holidays) and keep icing it and stay off of it as much as possible. She may not get feeling back completely for a few months...which is the part Kaley doesn't like. But nothing is broken or fractured and should heal fine in a few weeks. Yippie!

She did unexpectedly have to get her first of two shots of the Chicken Pox vaccine :(

P.S. Please pray for Leslie and Seth Carter (Nathan's Brother) Leslie is in the hospital @ Duke University until the twins are born Feb 5th. http://cartermomos.blogspot.com

Kaley's indoor soccer league

Kaley has started indoor soccer to prepare for Varsity Soccer @ East Lincoln in the Spring. She plays at Charlotte Sport on Harris Blvd. I will post her schedule when I get it. So far so good - except for getting kicked in the leg at the second game. She is headed to the doctor today to get it looked at. The injury has moved down into her ankle with some swelling and bruising. Hard for her to let it heal with soccer training and work. Hopefully she can get a break during Christmas Vacation.
