It's been a long time and a lot has happened.....

Our family has grown. We welcomed Crosby Garrett Carter on 2/9/2014. This year has flown by and he is almost ONE already. We moved from Dallas to McKinney - a lot more family friendly! Kaley is now back in Boone at App State getting her Psychology degree and BSN. We are so proud of her. Nathan is still playing and singing his little heart out at Pete's in Addison, TX and being the best husband and Dad in the world. I am still an LMS Analyst for St. Jude Medical (no affiliation to St. Jude Children's Hospital) in Plano.

Just wanted to post a quick update, I will need to get better at posting since we have a little changing everyday.

New addition to the family

We welcomed Murray Carter to the family on March 26th. His Mother was a rescue and he was born at the shelter in Bowie, TX on 1/12/2011. He is a very happy little 3lb Chihuahua and getting to know us and his new home well. On his 3rd night he went to bed without crying and slept for 7 hours!!
Chino (his new big brother) is still trying to figure out what this little thing running around his house and playing with his toys and parents is. I don't think it will take too long for Chino to start acting like a "big brother".

Trip home to North Carolina

My trip started in Charlotte with Dawn & Kat - What a fun night, but breakfast with Christin, Savannah, Kasey, Emerson & Kaley came really early.

I spend New Years Eve with Wen, Mary & Jo at Wendy and Bryan's house in Huntersville. We Farggled all night long!!! (note to self: do not drink coffee at 10pm if you want to sleep at all).

I got to hang out over at my Dad and Betsy's house for cooked cabbage, black-eyed peas, cornbread, apples & salad for lunch (not sure who thught this was a good new years day meal). Kaley and I then headed to Albemarle for dinner with Mom and Dell. Ran by Mike and Paulettes for a quick hello on the way back to Denver. I know I like action packed days!!! I didn't have enough time to spend with everyone but seeing family even for a short time is priceless. LOVE YOU ALL!!

FOOTBALL SUNDAY!!!!

We had a BIG turn out for FOOTBALL SUNDAY at Hickory Tavern on Harris Blvd. It was so good to get to see so many of my friends in one place.

I love that all my girls are so into football and were all representing their teams!!! This is only one of the reasons I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH.

oh and a STEELERS WIN!!! always makes for a better day :)

Thanks to Anita for a place to stay that felt like "HOME" (haha). I can't wait until we all see eachother again. I will Miss you all until then.

Mercy Tree by Nathan Carter

I am so proud of Nathan. He finally got his CD that he worked so hard on for months and months. I have a copy in my car and downloaded on my phone with Zune :)

This is something he has always wanted to do - he got to bring all of his favorite people he has ever played with together on one CD.

You can purchase the CD or the download on CD Baby
You can also download on Zune
(search for Nathan Carter or Mercy Tree)

Christmas in Dallas

Christmas in Dallas was great this year thanks to NO SNOW. We had  the Pete's Christmas Party held at Mi Cocina in The Shoppes at Legacy. They treat their employees very well. Nathan and I are blessed that they gave him a job.

On Christmas Day we went to Will Townsley's house (plays with Nathan) for the second year in a row. His family is very nice to let us crash their get together. His wife is a great cook and we all ate way too much food!

Nathan and I had three days to hang out and catch up on our movie time together. It was a nice break from work and our opposite schedules.

Chino hopes wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.........

Nathan and I have had a BUSY 8 months (to say the least). We got married in September, moved to Plano, TX in December, Sent Kaley off to college in January, bought a house in Dallas and moved again in August! Oh and Nathan started his new job @ Pete's in Addison, TX and I moved around 3 times before getting it right @ Time Warner Cable as the LMS Coordinator for the Texas Region.

I have posted a few picutes of the new house.....we are almost settled in and LOVING it. There are a ton of stairs so we were VERY sore and tired after the move. Chino is getting adjusted to NOT being allowed on the couch.....Nathan had him trained within a matter of hours - pretty amazing. We think all the stairs in the house is wearing poor Chino out. Oh and he loves to lay in the sun that comes through the windows and hits the floors.

Soon to be Mrs. Carter.....

In less than 60 days I will be Mrs. Carter....it is still hard to believe! So much is happening in our lives right now. Nathan has moved to Houston to work for Pete's Dueling Piano Bar, Kaley will be 18 in November and graduate from high school in January (WOW - didn't I just drop her off @ 1st grade?). The house is crazy quite without Nathan and Chino - but the good thing is LESS LAUNDRY. I think change is good and I will try to embrace it all the way.
